Privacy Policy

Overview

CarMoto is an offline-first vehicle ownership application. In the Android 1.0.0 release covered by this policy, Guest Mode is enabled and Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, cloud synchronization, and vehicle sharing are disabled. The app does not require an account and does not transmit vehicle records to MSQAISFX LTD.

Information stored on your device

CarMoto may store information you choose to enter, including:

• vehicle type, nickname, manufacturer, model, year, trim, color, and technical details;
• vehicle identification number (VIN/chassis number), license plate, market specification, import origin, and manufacturing country;
• purchase condition, purchase date, purchase odometer, price, currency, and valuation records;
• current odometer and odometer history;
• maintenance schedules, service history, registration, insurance, inspection, warranty, and custom reminders;
• expenses, fuel records, ownership-cost information, and notes; and
• language, theme, font-size, distance-unit, currency, and reminder preferences.

This information is stored in the app's local database within the operating system's application sandbox. CarMoto 1.0.0 does not upload this information to an MSQAISFX LTD server.

Permissions and local notifications

CarMoto may request notification permission so it can show maintenance and reminder notifications scheduled on your device. You may deny or revoke this permission in Android settings; core offline features remain available. The app also receives the Android boot-completed event solely to restore locally scheduled reminders after a restart.

CarMoto 1.0.0 does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, advertising identifier, or shared-storage permissions.

Authentication and network services

Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, cloud synchronization, and vehicle sharing are disabled in this release. No user account is created. If optional authentication or cloud services are introduced in a future release, this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure must be updated before those features are enabled.

Advertising and tracking

CarMoto contains no advertising SDK and no analytics or marketing-tracking SDK. MSQAISFX LTD does not sell or share the locally stored vehicle data described above.

Data retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete individual records using available in-app controls, use Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete All Local Data, clear the app's storage through Android settings, or uninstall the app. Some individual record operations use soft deletion to preserve local history and database consistency. The Delete All Local Data action requires explicit confirmation, cancels scheduled notifications, removes all application records and resets local settings.

CarMoto 1.0.0 does not create an online account, so there is no server-side account or cloud copy to delete. You can create a portable JSON export from Settings → Privacy & Data → Export Local Data. The export is written locally to the device and is not uploaded automatically.

Security

CarMoto relies on Android's application sandbox to restrict other apps from accessing its local files. Users should protect their device with an up-to-date operating system and a screen lock. No method of storage is completely secure, and the local SQLite database is not advertised as independently encrypted by CarMoto.

Children

CarMoto is a general vehicle-management utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect children's personal information through an MSQAISFX LTD service in this offline release.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app functionality or data practices change. The effective version and date will be published with each material revision.
